About Our Church
Central Christian Church has been serving the Mount Vernon, Ohio area for 50 years. We are a group of ordinary people who follow an extraordinary God. We are people who have accepted God’s grace by:
· Believing in Jesus as God’s Son (Matthew 16:16)
· Repenting of our sins (Acts17:30)
· Confessing Jesus as our Lord (Matthew 10:32-33)
· Being Baptized, by immersion, for the forgiveness of our sins (Acts 2:38, Romans 6:1-6)
· Understanding we were created for good works (Ephesians 2:10)
Our Mission
We make it our aim to imitate the practices and teachings of Jesus Christ and the New Testament. To do so, we follow the Bible alone as our instruction manual, convinced that it is God’s word to us and is able over time to bring us to spiritual maturity. (2 Timothy 3:1-17)
It is our desire to bring people to Jesus, baptize them into Him, build them to maturity, connect them together in fellowship, support them in the struggles of life, and bless the Lord in worship. We invite you to become a part of our Church family as we serve the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in this place!
Our Beliefs
We are a non-denominational New Testament church that believes that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God. We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God. We practice baptism by immersion and the observance of weekly communion.
